Scavenger hunts can be run anywhere where there are objects around to find. They don’t require any preparation as you don’t need to hide anything or make clues. This page has some free printables for either indoor or outdoor hunting, each with a list of things to find and checkboxes to tick things off as you go. If you’re running a scavenger hunt inside and you don’t want your house to end up in a tip, you could make a rule that each item has to be replaced where it was found before participants will be told the next item to find. Alternatively, if the participants can read, send them off with the whole list to find everything on it before coming back, to buy yourself five minutes of peace! See below for the free printable.
